Miss B's Class
Miss B’s Kinder and K/1 classes spent the day on a cross-curricular project.
They read an Indigenous story written by a writer of Cree, Lakota and Scottish
descent called:“My heart fills with happiness.“ Students then used their Math
understanding of patterns to create their own hearts. The classes then sat in a
circle and shared their pattern hearts, whilst stating what makes their hearts happy.
This allowed students to use their literacy skills to respond to text as well as the
ability to practice oral communication skills. “
